Presented for auction is thsi brass pyrene 1-quart fire extinguisher. This fire extinguisher is empty!
For those of you that asked, i have added a second picture! Please, please, ask to see more pictures, this is na excellent example of what this fire extinguisher should look like! I belieev this fire extinguisher fits on the wwii era ford gpw or willys mb jeep. It is the 14 long by 3 in diameter. This is the fire extinguisher that was mounted on the divers side cowl of every wwii era military jeep.
If you are restoring an old ford gpw or willys mb jeep, you may need this part and you would be hard pressed to find a better example. These were also used in the rear of some cargo trucks, staff cars, and may have been used on some motor cycles. It is free of any dents and has beautiful patina. It has just a few corrosion specks.
There are also some light scratches and light pain chipping. The largest paint chip is elss than the size of a dime and it is on the back side.
It ahs aged very well. It has 2 patent dates.
